    I am remodeling a tractor mower for use with horses. Any ideas on the size engine (hp) needed to power a 7 ft bar. I have the hook up figured out. Any comments apprecated.

    Their is an article in a past Rural Heritage about adding an engine to a sickle bar mower to relieve the load on a team of Halflingers. They used a 5hp motor to run just the sickle.
