First of all, am not sure where this thread belongs… hopefully it’ll be moved to the appropriate listing, if needed. I’m trying to learn what these are, and the pros & cons of each. I’m trying to replace the tiller w/ my new (standard) donkey & don’t know which is best. I grow produce (small truck-farm). Here they are:
Harness = biothane, beta granite, nylon, leather, etc. >>> describe/define, please?
Halter/bridle = “bitless” bridle (?), hackamore, ‘is there a specific type for driving or riding (or use the same?)
Also, advice on whether to use blinders… (not just “because it’s always been done that way, but why?)
Harness = types: western; “D-ring” (seen the threads here – that’s what motivated this thread) = good for donkeys, too?; can an old (but good shape) breast-harness be adapted for a collar?:
I guess I’m trying to get a conversation started that’ll entice the wiser ones here to discuss the merits of the different types & styles… and if they will adapt to donkeys. I want to do as much as possible w/ him (eventually more than one). Thanks in advance… for even reading this ~ - AuthorPosts
