Must be the season for getting clearing out the pasture around here… my boss/landlord has a “step-uncle-in-law” (???) that used to be partners in the trailbuilding business… Clarence has decided that since he hasn’t done any wilderness work in 3 years, he’s selling all 20 head of work mules… these have been used for wilderness trail-building: packing, riding, pulling trailaces & stumps/logs out of the trail site. 2 are exact duplicates to Bonner’s that we use (‘cept Clarence’s belgian mule isn’t built right to be called “Ellie”). I don’t have any idea what he wants for them, but if anyone’s interested, I can get his phone number, etc. Most of these were bought over the years from that big sale in Tennesee – and he paid top dollar for some. Clarence lives here in White Bird, Idaho = about 70 miles south of Lewiston. I know it’s a long ways from most of you, but there’s some very experienced mules of all sizes here, so I thought I’d share this with my community.
