Does anyone have any experience with K-line irrigation?
http://www.k-linena.comWe had looked into it a couple years ago but were told by the local rep that Wyoming would take too much power and water to make it feasible because of the intense dry heat in the summer. Made me wonder why he was a rep…
Although we have plenty of canal water, I am trying to get away from the negative issues of flood irrigating heavy soil and the neccessary levelling and corrugating inputs, which make draft based power less feasible…
So then I was at an auction last weekend, met a gentleman who says they irrigate 200 acres and swear by it; way better and cheaper than pivots for grazing/rotational purposes, so off I go to make another friend, as he invited me over to learn. My begging must have had some effect on him:D

I’ve looked at k-line also and just am not sure about the feasability (we don’t have any water/irrigation setup). My understanding is that you run a main or feeder line and then the k-lines hook up to that – just drag them to where you need them and tap in – does that sound right?
I would be interested to hear how your new buddy uses it as well as what you think would work. Especially interested in pump/well setup ..
Thanks.
