.
Something to consider:This may sound like a silly, stupid, ignorant, question, but maybe not.
I know it is hard times for a lot of people now a days but it cost something to live every day one way or another.
I have heard people in many crafts and jobs say until it pays more I will do nothing just sit and weight.
Even when a person works and makes profits have days that they do nothing and that eats away in profits.
If you work 5 days a week and do nothing for two days, those two days eat at your 5 day profit.
Cost of live goes on 365 days a year.
If you are logging for a living and can’t sell of or haul logs to the mills, what could you do until things get better.
Some people say I won’t do this or that because it does not pay enough, so the do nothing.
And the bills and cost of equipment and animal teams, feed etc. goes on.
If you make $150.00 a day that you work that is not all profit.
But how much does it cost on the days you don’t work, because there are costs that go on every day.Sometimes doing low paying job can still get you through hard times and at least help pay the bills, until the good times return.
Think about it and figure what it costs for you not to work, and what the every day costs just to hold on to, and keep what you have including your family, food, home, Livestock, feed, utilities, auto, insurance, etc.

Around here we live a very Spartan lifestyle, but if it came down to me starving or working somewhere I don’t want to, the most common phrase you’ll hear from me will be, “Do you want fries with that?”
For now I’m blessed enough to not have to resort to that….. yet.

I am not getting rich but I am by the grace of God making it. The Lyme’s disease I had this summer hurt me worse than the low pay wood did. It is tough getting going again for sure but I will do what I have to do no honest job is a shame to me . Taylor Johnson - AuthorPosts
