Hi. just a short poem I wrote for my husband and his Clydesdale mare.
It was on a windy night in May
The rain was beating down
The miracle of life was nearly here
In a barn just outside town
The Clydesdale mare known as Ruth
Was close to lying down
The foal inside her restless now
In that barn outside of town
The mare was down and pushing hard
Sweating oh so much
One final push and Belle is here
That was the final touch
A beautiful foal is safe and sound
With four white legs she looks around
The miracle of life is here again
In that barn outside of town
