I have a 1948 McCormick Deering #9 on VERY good rubber. New style haybine guards on 5 foot bar. Has three under serrated “tipless”? knives/guards nearest the frame. They help prevent clogs from down grass. This is a field ready mower that will allow you to enjoy mowing with horses. Rather than swearing at the !@#$%^&* cutter bar. New pitman arm. Could use a flywheel seal. I have just kept the pole off the ground and it stays full. I can replace it if need be. Pole is twisted from storage placement but sound. I have a new pole available. Can be seen in operation for serious buyers. Selling only because I have almost finished my new one. $1100 firm. I know it sounds like alot. But find a set of good rubber tires, new guards, pitman stick and knife section. Then find a mower somewhere that has a good frame and gears. Not all painted up but has a new hot rod aluminum seat! Just a good running machine. Serious inquires please. It looks like all the other 1948 Mc D #9’s. Someone left his camera on a fence post taking pictures of a colt. Right before a good ole thunderstorm. So pictures are not an option. Call Andre’ 802-324-1190
