ParticipantThese are photos of the forwarder we built for my single Mule. Shown are hookup to the ground drive arch dolly combo and to my Pioneer forecart. Not shown but under construction are a removable platform with side boards, a vertical receiver for a removable seat or tool tray.

I haven’t used it yet but plan to load by hand since it’s only for firewood size poles. The pipe stakes on the sides come out so I think by lifting one end of the wood I can slide the bigger pieces on.
It has 18″ stakes so 10x4x1.5 is 60CF, probably more than a full load for my mule. It also will tow behind my tractor and I then could heap the wood higher or put in higher stakes, the frame and axle would be able to take the weight.

ParticipantNice looking rig Rod. The Swedes have a rig they put in one of the post holes which has a shallow u shape on top of the pipe. If you can get one end of a log up on this device the other end when lifted can easily be swung over the stern of the forwarder, sled or whatever. I have yet to build one but might give it a try this winter.

1. Post your pictures in the photo gallery, then copy and paste them directly into the post. You can copy them directly from a Face Book, or other web based, album as well.
2. Go to your User CP (Control Panel), and click on Attachments, near the bottom of the list. This will show you all of the attachments that you have posted, and will allow you to delete any that you don’t want.

December 3, 2010 at 4:31 pm #63657ParticipantHere it is with the removable deck and sideboards and with the seat. Both lift right off when not needed as does the seat. The seat receiver is going to get a tool tray in the future.
