Spent a little time today uploading some pics to Picturetrail. Thought I would post a couple and the links to the albums. The first pictures are of my 4yr old Lucy as I was working with her single. She has worked single and double on the forecart but this was the first time ground driving her. She did a great job of keeping a nice steady pace and never got excited. Here are the links to the albums and some pics as well.

This second bunch is of my 3 mares. Mother and two daughters (full sisters). Mom is in the middle and the younger two are on the outsides. This was our first attempt at a 3 abreast. It went very well. I would have thought they had been doing it their whole lives. Here are a few pictures of that fun day last fall.
Going to need alot more hours and another tire to get them ready for plowing this spring. I have an Oliver riding plow with a 14″ bottom and slatted moldboard. We have plowed the garden with two of them, but it is really to much to work them all day. Three should be just about right!!
Hope everyone enjoyed the pics. Come on Spring!

The two of the qualified and went to the Ohio State Fair last summer in 4H and won 4th in the Single hitch Draft pony class and Champion in Draft Driving Reinsmanship! Makes dad a little proud when it dawns on him that he has raised and trained the Dam, the Sire and bred for the mare that he used to do this. They have an awesome relationship. Oh ya, they win ribbons in speed events at the local fair as well. (barrels, pole bending, flags and such).
