I know it is a little ways off, but I was wonder who might be attending Horse Progress Days in Clair, MI. I would love to me DAP folks and put names to faces:cool: I have never been to the Progress Days so we are taking it as our “vacation” this year, hopefully I can get 1st crop done before hand. Anyway lets all keep in touch as the time grows near.
Thanks,

You say it is a ways off but we are, as I am sure you are, planning our year so we can take that time away from the farm. You are concerned about hay, I am trying to plan the grazing schedule (ewes with lambs) so I can have 10 days worth of moves in the same pasture all set up before we go.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in possibly getting together to rent a passenger van to drive out.
I live in the Albany, NY area… anyone interested?I also saw that there’s a park with tent camping in the closest town that can be reserved for large parties. Would anyone be interested in getting together to commit to that?

Im not sure if anyone on here has ever been to the upper peninsula of MI but there is an island called Mackinac Island. Its a couple hours north of claire. The entire island is draft powered. Automobiles have been outlawed for a a long time. Its sounds like a neat place to spend a day or so. Just throwing it out there cause it sounds neat.

We are hanging around Sunday waiting for Roeters to open first thing Monday morning. Does anyone have any lazy Sunday activity suggestions for the area between Clare and Grant? I was hoping to pick cherries, but I understand the frost did a lot of damage this spring.
