Well finally rounded up the money and drove out to Peach Lane Harness in Ronks, PA today and came home with a new nylon d ring harness! I have been waiting for this for awhile now and I excited. Although I have to wait a few more days to put it on cause they didnt have the adjustable collar I wanted in stock so it will have to get shipped. If anyone in this area is looking for a harness either biothane or nylon I would highly recommed them. Abner and his son Moses took very good care of me and I will definately be doing more business with them. Will post some pictures once the collar gets here and we get it on the mare.

Looking forward to some pics, and I imagine you are looking forward to getting some work done 🙂

Which then turned into let me “make sure the harness fits too”. I dont have it fully adjusted just yet, but we are getting there. I do have to say that my mare made it very enjoyable. I put a bale of hay in front of her and she stood like she has been harness thousands of times. It was GREAT especially since this was my first time actually putting a harness on a horse. To my knowlege this was her first time being harnessed. We eventually even walked around dragging a single tree on the traces. She only got excited once and that was when the two horses in the next field over were acting like idiots. But she stopped after the Whoa was given. I think she was most fascinated with the bridle bit. haha not sure she ever had one of those in either. Thank you to everyone that has given me advice and pointers to get me to this point. It is much appreciated!

Harness looks great and so does the mare! I have order some custom stuff for the Scandinavian harness from Peach Lane Harness on your advice and can’t wait until it get here. I think you will have some fun working with her.
