Saturday, April 7th, I’m going to put on a pot of rabbit chili, grab the disc & spike harrow & w-b plow I’ve got & see just what my donkey Jenny-Mae can do…then I’ll hook her up to at least one of several logs I’ve got laying around…probably even take some pictures of the whole thing.
If anyone wants to show up, bring what you’ve got & let’s play in the dirt, just like our mommas told us not to! Of interest to the wee ones: I’ve got two litters of bunnies & there should be some baby goats on the ground by then!*** Parents: “No, trading of your kids for mine allowed!!” ***
I’ll post directions, if needed.

April 10, 2012 at 11:00 pm #73008HeeHawHavenParticipantThere is a spring planting put on by Southern Idaho Draft and Mule Association near Twin Falls this Saturday if anyone wants to attend. Let me know and I’ll message you the details. I’m bringing the 2 Fjules and the Fjord gelding. Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to work them 3 abreast!

Let me know if anyone is going to come and I’ll look for you. It’ll be easy to spot me with 2 fjord mules and a fjord horse.

Wish I lived closer, Moonshadow…sounds like fun!
April 11, 2012 at 8:33 pm #72988near horseParticipantHey Robert – Sat 28th will do. Gotta be back home on Sunday though as my wife is heading over to visit our son in West WA. So what do you want to do? Plow? Disc? Harrow w/ forecart? ……
April 12, 2012 at 11:59 pm #73000Robert MoonShadowParticipantGeoff – Any of the above…;)
I’ve got a borrowed disc & spiketooth, and my walk-behind plow…was going to *gasp!* borrow a neighbor’s small tractor to get it tilled up (Jenny’s the only one semi-trained and who has a harness) & she can’t pull the plow by herself – maybe once she’s totally trained, but not yet. If you’re coming down that Saturday, I’ll not borrow the “stink-beast”! You can play with the 7 (so far) baby goats, too!
Lovely Jenn – Wish you were closer, too! I’d love to see you & your critters showin’ us how it’s done!April 13, 2012 at 5:04 pm #73010HeeHawHavenParticipantYou never know, I may come up!

April 13, 2012 at 7:45 pm #72989near horseParticipantRobert – how about this Sunday? 4/15. I decided not to travel to the Odessa WA event this weekend so Sunday could work. Plow is still in the trailer ….. I know it’s short notice.
April 14, 2012 at 6:53 pm #73001Robert MoonShadowParticipantApril 14, 2012 at 9:21 pm #72990near horseParticipantSo what’s the verdict for tomorrow – 4/15?
April 16, 2012 at 6:37 pm #73002Robert MoonShadowParticipantSorry, Geoff…didn’t see your post – had off-farm work to do, anyways. They’ve dug up & located to original septic tank & are waiting for the inspector, so I can back-fill it & till her up…so it should be done by the 28th.
April 23, 2012 at 7:15 pm #72991near horseParticipantRobert – put the chili on! I’m planning on being there this Sat 4/28. Keep me posted if it’s tenative or a “no-go”. Also, if HHH or ? wants to show up, I’ll bring my forecart etc down on Friday (is there a safe -ish place for it to overnight?).
