Source of power: 1 fjord horse, team of Devon oxen, 4 young Dexter bull calves.
Animal used for: Logging; fieldwork; haying; spreading manure etc.; hauing with wagon cart and stoneboat.
Acreage: 67 1.5-2 garden; 16 pasture/ hay; balance woodlot
Other livestock: dairy goats, chickens (meat and layer), sheep, donkeys, bees and dogs.
Skills offererd in: Working with and caring for horses and oxen. Goat husbandry including milking and growing feed and fodder. Logging; building; timberframe; Charcoal/ Biochar production; hand scything; clinical herbalsim; dowsing and earth energies; holistic planned grazing and management; nutrient dense gardening (vegetables, herbs, flowers and fodder crops).
Work hours: 6hrs day/ 5 days a week
Room and board: 1-2 apprentices at a time
Stipend: negotiable
Accomodations: 30′ yurt with full kitchen, bath.
Apprentice must: Have a genuine interest in restorative farming, be hard working, willing and mature.
