Well, had two days of making ox shoes in anticpation of shoeing orders. My arm is sore, but good. I need a new hammer, old one is pretty beat up with years of making shoes. Hate to give it up. Maybe, I will mount it on a wall.

Not sure why he comes to me as he can shoe himself. He has said that my shoeing means a better placing in competition. That must be it. Looking forward to the oxen as they are impressive. Too bad they have thin soles, but the firey ones usually do.

It was turned off and inner hoof turned under. His feet looked great when all done. They had been entered in a fair already. Won first place. Hauled 6800 lbs.
