We are looking to find a good home for our haflinger, Gretta. She is a really personable, confident horse that we have
used extensively both in harness and in saddle. Our 13 year old daughter logged with her quite a bit last winter and we have used her to cultivate our garden, clip pastures with a mower, rake hay, and spread manure. She works single and double Her main job with us however has been as my daughters riding horse. She has used her in Pony Club for the past 3 years and achieved a D2 rating. My daughter is now looking for more of a riding horse with a little more jumping potential! Therefore, we are sadly looking for a new place for Gretta, and I would love to find someone who would use her in harness. As you can see in the photos she is a chunky, old-style halflinger ready to work.

She has recently had some soundness issues trotting in circles. She is totally sound on trail rides and in harness but has problems on circles to the right. Xrays revealed some high ringbone, so we have been using bute when she is doing ringwork and all has been fine.

We are asking $800. Harness and collar also available. We just really want to find the right home. She is a social horse so we’d like her to live with other equine (horses, mules, donkeys..). She is not at all herd bound since she is used on her own frequently, but she really loves the company of other horses.
