    Windy and cold in Wisconsin tonight hopefully it freezes the swamp up so I can play in the woods my horses. Eli

    Here in Indiana my grandfather said they waited for the marshes to freeze over then cut the marsh hay. Guess it was freeze dried. Reed canary grass, Grandpa said it would stick up 4-5′ over the top of the ice, set the bar higher so the hay laid on the stubble and then gathered at the ends and fed to stock.
