My mare Mary needs a retirement home. She is a rescue horse that I thought could be brought back to working condition. Her front hooves have been a problem and cause her pain when she is on gravel or hard surfaces. She is trained to work in harness, she was owned by an Amish farmer. I have been working with a farrier and a vet for almost a year but her feet are still sore. We only have room for two horses and so we need to find a place for Mary where she won’t be expected to work. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you.
