Picture this: it is Saturday afternoon at the Fairgrounds in Barton and you are dusty, dehydrated and tired, but invigorated, inspired and refreshed by all the great things you saw, heard and learned about over the past 24 hours. Now it’s evening and you need something good to eat… where do you go?

Make your way to the 4-H building, where local chefs from Applecheek Farm have set out a Local Harvest Dinner spread:
    Butternut Squash & Apple Soup
    Corn Chowder
Spinach Salad with goat cheese, apples & cranberries
    Potato Salad
    Sliced local meat
    Artisan bread & butter
    and don’t forget…. dessert

All this for a donation of $15 – 30 per person (suggested $20 so we can cover our costs)
The catch? In order to have food of this quality, we have to know how many people we’re feeding in advance. Please pre-register for this meal by September 15 by purchasing a ticket online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/403900 or send a check to the DAPNet office: 509 Dutton Brook Lane, Brownington, VT 05860

But wait! There’s more… after dinner Doc Hammill will share some Cowboy Poetry and we’ll have an open mike session. Bring your instruments, a song or poem to share with the group. The theme, of course, is Animal Power & Sustainable Land Use.

    See you there!
