i do not know if it is internet voodoo but the morning after reading this post i found a headless duck.this morning 3 chicks dead with a hole dug the size of a football.after the first duck dead my trapper buddy said it was weasel.the hole was alot bigger than a weasel.i did see a fishercat out back while hunting.we have alway free ranged our birds but this year we cooped them up to try to eat more of the eggs. i knew i was looseing birds before but never saw a headless bird until i read this post.

i had to dig deep for these pics
that horse was bought at unadilla horse auction .she was fresh off a farm, underweight and had collar sores.paid $345,just over what the meat buyers used to pay.Junior was 5years old then.no bit or saddle.when Junior kept getting into trouble in school i sold her at a local auction .within a month he had student of the month and got his first pony.

i do believe they are still concidered poultry in ny.if farm raised.we have been looking into a 200 doe new zealand white rabbit production here too.there is a man on county route 17 in hartford ny who sells his poultry/rabbits he butches.he may have more info for you.i think it is more regulated by the state in vermont though.

    Jarod,
we bring home wrank untouchable ponies all the time.small pens and lots of love!!some of our ponies crave that love so much now that hey come runnin’.we have noticed that they actually like being worked and do not like being left behind(our 3yo mare will not stay in her pasture if we leave her home to work others-she want to go too).i too need grain to sometimes catch our ponies, but the kids do not(sometimes i think they think i am an evil man who will sell them if i catch them)need grain.
we too just brought home a new addition.i really believe in starting a new life at a new home.i do not give them time to settle in and feel at home.we sometimes work them right off the trailer.they quickly adjust and learn to follow along.
if you would like Junior to come over and ride him out alittle to get some spunk out of him let us know!!

i have a phrase i use with our children and animals”i make what is acceptable easy and comfortable and what is uncceptable very uncomfortable”
i got that feeling with the way Donn was descibeing his techineque.

junior is a wonder with the animals.my goal is to let him work as many wrank horses as i can get. anybody can work/ride a dead broke horse, but when you can work any horse(wrank or broke)you are a true horseman.he is well on his way.he wishes to ride the bulls someday.they have schools out west but they are geared towards 13-14 year old kids so he just has to wait.
