I so appreciate trying to connect to Jason. Carl needs another home, please spread the word. His condition has worsened and I am trying to help the people who have him now find a knowledgeable home (and financially able to spend some money on treating him) where his CPL can be cared for- I would love to take him but I have two big belgians in various stages of training and a riding horse and we just feel we don’t have the finances and time to take on Carl. I am still trying to locate a vet who can look at him who has knowledge of this cpl condition because my husband has offered to have him vetted and come up with a different treatment program. He appears sound but is losing muscle tone on his rump, shoulders and withers. They are very prominent right now. My name is Melissa and I live in Windsor.

Jason, I believe my husband and I just looked at this horse that used to belong to you. They weren’t sure of his age but said he was mid-teens possibly, his name is Carl and he is a red roan Brabant, located in Coopers Mills. Was he diagnosed by a vet with CPL and how long has he had scratches? He still has it pretty bad and he is a little thin. If we can’t take him, we would like to help the people who own him place him in a good home but I was looking for a little more background on him. Thanks
