I suppose what I should have said is that majority of people in our area do not see a use for horses (or other drafts for that matter) and simply don’t care about learing about them.They are also (IMHO) terrified of some change in the community. Being as they all run 300hp diesels on their farms they don’t think that you can do anything with horses. Maybe I was just venting,I don’t know…..
~~RParticipantYeah I like horses better. Cause that is the only draft animal I have handled. They were belgians and listened to me very good. They belonged to our neighbor to the south. I never knew that horses could make cleaning out the chicken house fun:p……………

Just to open this can of worms back up,yes I think that when a proper mentor and adequate publications are provided then yes it is easy to understand. I also feel that it is important for us not to get “snobbish” in our actions. We should all have a genuine interest in helping everyone we can in all aspects of this wonderful adventure. However little we may know there is always someone who knows less. So whatever your area of knowledge is,share it,you never know what good might come of it!
