woke up this morning to a kidfree house.it was quiet!looked out the window to see the two little mares out in the yard.i put trixie back to pasture and tied juliet to the hitching pole.i have her driving pretty good for only being a 3 year old and less than 5 months in harness.i got out the harness and hitched her to the cart and headed down the road.i really didn’t know where or how far we were going but i knew she was out all night and i am sure her belly was full.we ended up going around the”county block” 12 miles round trip.she did great.at one point a dog came running out ,she spooked alittle but calmed right down.i found that sometimes if i just had her trot though the distaction she did better.even the dirt bikes who showed no respect didn’t really bother her.we looped up through burchland to say hi ,she did fine with all the other horses about, and headed on through.i could not have had a better day with such great weather and such a pround morning.this pony was jr’s first pony Roanie’s(rip) filly who all her training was done by jr and myself.i trust her more than anyone on my farm.she did not really know voice commands but after this trip she picked them up.what a great morning!!

he has been wanting to try the new cart with the bench seat.max&mama are driving juliet and jr is driving pony ta. alot more comforable than the race sulky jr’s driving.we have 4 carts-two sulkies and two pleasure carts.the wagon is in the works(my welder has a active dating schedual).would really love one of those pioneer mowers!! - AuthorPosts
