    Hallo Howard, Tim and Nat!

Last week a TV team visited us – and a little film was made. So you can have a little look, what me and my girls are doing! The only pitty is, that you cant see the large man with his camera sitting in the small cart, filming how Onyx is walking. That was funny!

Anne, sehr gut!! I loved your little film. At what age did you start riding the cattle? I’ve just started leaning on and over my six month old calves as they lie down chewing cud.. So far, they don’t mind.

    Hallo oxnun!

I start the same way. Lean on them, while they are laying down, chewing. I brush and massage them whenever I sit on their back. It´s important that they enjoy it, because otherwise they may hit you with their horns during mountaining. My vet says, that cattle can carry about 10% of their bodywight.
So I start to lead light kids on the tame ones. And start to ride them by myself when they are about 2 years old. So I start early – and continue slow.
