Great pictures, Simon. I can smell the pitch and the wet ground.

January 5, 2013 at 11:55 pm #76262fogishParticipantSimon, the article mentions how you warm your horses up in the morning but how do you cool them down and prepare them for the cold nights?
January 8, 2013 at 2:51 pm #76260simon lenihanParticipantWe always scale down load size towards the end of the day which helps them to cool down some. We then unharness and let them eat some hay for a while, if its very cold we place a blanket over them. We then take them back to the field where they seem to vigourously roll in some muck hole to protect themselves.
