Well with the buy local, and farm to school initiatives gaining so much momentum, a third grade class visited a local CSA that was supplying their school with food.
As they farmer led the kids from garden to chicken coop, and then to the pig pasture, one child noticed a particularly large pig with only three legs.
“Hey Farmer Brown, there’s a three legged pig in your pasture”.
“Oh, that’s my best pig”.
“Your best pig? It only has three legs”.
“Well a good pig like that, you can’t eat all at once”
