I need a new pair of boots. And Im wanting a pair of logger boots. Can you all tell me a good brand to look at? My cowboy boots arent too good in the snow lol.

I got to put my plug in for the Labonville logger boots. They have insulated and non insulated versions and are on the cheap side and made in the USA (PA I think).

Here is a manufacturer in the prov. of Quebec http://www.lproyer.com/en/, specialized safety boots number 8614 forestry boot. Very solid boot. Don’t know if you can get them in your neck of the woods. Think I paid 285+tax. Foresters around here love them.

You have a good selection with all the suggestions you’ve had from everybody. If you’re going with the Viking boot I would opt for the one’s with the leather upper. The sides of the full rubber boot will tear up which happened to me. I think while felling trees you walk along the tree in branches and the sharp ends of the branches cut them up, only explanation I can think of. Have fun researching.

Can this be right that a lot of these boots are only in 2EE and 3EE width? I always thought D was most common. Work boots are kind of a big deal, I want boots that fit.

Unlike most of you who have posted so far about boot sizes, I have been “blessed/cursed” with a very large foot. The last pair of cowboy boots I ordered from Boulet Boots out of Quebec were a 11.5 EEEEE! No, my finger didn’t studder. That is really a 5E and has been a pain to find well fitting foot wear my whole life. I would love to be able to find a boot maker that understood this!! Happy hunting folks!!
