Neal and I have listed our farm for sale, not because we want or need to get out of farming but because this farm is more (work & debt) than we can manage with the other things that are competing for our time and attention. We have some serious interest in the farm this spring and anticipate moving before the bulk of the summer work season. For this reason, we are offering a lovely team for sale.
This team represents what experienced horse folks can offer to newer teamsters – because as most of us are aware, while Carl, Mark, Brad & others are comfortable taking on youngsters/renegades, not everyone is. These horses are in their prime and have had the kinks worked out. It is true that horses are not cheap these days, but neither is getting hurt. These are good, solid horses that know farm work and love it!
Lynne & Clyde – our Brabant farm team
This team is fantastic – we use them for all manner of farm activities: mowing, raking, tedding, moving hay wagons, manure spreading, plowing, discing, logging, and more. They also work great in crowds, don’t mind snow machines & traffic and anyone can drive them. They are quiet without being dead, and can move anything they are hooked to. The mare is registered Brabant, gelding is grade. Both horses work well with younger/less experienced horses. They have been together 3 years. They are 10 yrs, 16.2 hands. Really super team. Call for more info.
