Well found myself a horse.:) Brought her home last october. Now I can relate to some of the things you all are posting. She’s out of Sackville N.B. Percheron mare name Gena, going to be 4 end of february. Did some sleigh rides last winter. Hitched her to a sled on grass, sled didn’t have shafts so now on snow can’t use it very much. Put some old tires to drag being, work good but not at ease with that set up. Found a bobsled that I had to fix with new runners to the front bunk and put shafts. The wood came with the sled precut so just had to put it together. Got her hitch to the bobsled and all went very well.
Being a newbie I’ve got help from a neighbor horsemen and everything is going well. Learning quite a lot and having a good time.
