butchering time

    now that the cold weather is here it is time to slaughter and put up a meat supply we have 4 hogs and 2 cows to home process this month and hopfully asome venison after 30 years of using a hand meat saw we bought a used meat band saw yesterday up in northern vermont great day for a ride and also took some time to stop in at Neal and GWEN NEW PLACE TO CHECK OUT HIS PERCHERON STUD HORSE and some real nice chunk type mares that he has that are becoming real hard to find

    butchering will be a breeze this fall and life is looking good

    Do you do them all in a batch or do each one start to finish to reduce the time it sits out? How long does it take to process a hog?
