colour "red"

    Can cattle see and distinguish the colour “red”? Will react to it??

    I don’t think so? Ours don’t anyway – even the bull. I dried my hair with a blood red towel less than 8ft away from him the other day….

    Reference “The Well-being of Farm Animals” online, Grazing Animal Vision pg.123. Research indicates they are dichromats most sensitive to yellow-green and blue-purple light, especially sensitive to motion and high contrasts.
