don’t know if this is the right place to post this, but reckoned i’d let you check it out. naive art in my country was developed after ww2 when the communist siezed power. now, they looked at the painters as boeurgeus and decanents, and thought that the people didnt need them. luckily a academic painter came with an idea and gave the peasants whom he considered gifted what they needed to paint. this style is highly prized in Japan..
