Draft Horse
Teamster/
Assistant
Private resident located
on Shelburne Farms is
looking for an assistant to
help with working draft
horses, maintaining barn
and equipment and related
tasks. Must have experi-
ence with horses but not
necessarily that much
experience with driving.
Needs to be physically fit
, able to lift and to carry
out farm tasks. Will be
working in all kinds of
weather year around.
Hours are flexible , 25 –
35 hours/week including
possibly one weekend
day. Will be responsible
for cleaning stalls and barn
and feeding barn animals.
Mechanical knowledge a
plus. Must be able to
socialize and enjoy talking
with the general public.
Great job opportunity for
someone who enjoys a
wide variety of experi-
ences, is interested in
learning new things and
enjoys outdoor work.

can clean barn,water buckets and corral area,minor first aid,check for cuts,lameness and loose shoes b-4 turnout
can take calls for hay and sleigh rides as well as manage them. repair stalls barn and fences, assit farrier and vet
can drive single and double but rusty! drive a tractor and spreader,do nite chores and farm sit,minor landscaping,
