    😀
well, I’ll take you up on that one:
am training a riding-to-be ox (4yrs old) with a Royal King Western saddle (one4all); it keeps sliding back about 4 inches when under weight; am I too far up on the shoulder with it? do I use the 2nd cinchring that is above the stirrup?

Cattle do tend to have loose skin and saddles can slip. If you have a problem with this, use a saddle pad with some grip ie neoprene -and a breast plate would help prevent the saddle from slipping backward. We do use the backstrap on a western saddle.

Our Texas Longhorns are sooo wholesome and sweet, they sure do bring a lot of joy to a lot of people-especially at events! adults and children who never touched or even saw a large animal before in person derive happiness from just petting them and sitting on them.
