Foot powered grain thresher

I saw this treadle powered thresher in Small Farm magazine (Canada). It’s listed for sale from a site called http://www.backtotheland.com/html/farming_equipment.html

Somewhat expensive stuff but …..

With a little mechanical knowhow and a hardware store I think somebody could make one of these at a cheaper price. The most complex part would be gearing it somehow so that one treadle would make 2-3 revolutions. I suppose it wouldn’t be all that different from a treadle lathe except with a big barrel and something to knock the seeds off.

not bad, but one could have a regular small thresher and power it with this .
