FOR SALE: Family-raised Jersey Cross Heifer – NY

Hi folks!

I’m selling my year old (13 months) Jersey/Holstein heifer. Born 2/11/12. Sire is “Freeman Blackstone Shine” 7JE1071 (Select Sires). Genotype is A1/A2.

I’ve hand raised her since she was a week old. Halter broke, tame, gentle and sweet, she has the potential to be a great milker. Easy to handle. Open to breed. Besides free access to good quality hay and salt, I also feed small amounts of organic grain. During the summer she had been on pasture and I also trained her to tie out to graze.

Since I’m trying to raise my livestock as naturally and organically as possible, I don’t feed growth hormones, antibiotics, or give vaccines. The only shots my heifer has received are Tetanus and Rabies. My herd is TB and Bangs free.
