For Sale- Working Cattle

It has become apparent that even in the slow season of the year, I do not have the time for 2 pairs of cattle.

I am offering for sale Dick and Jane, a pair of black and white beef crosses. As the names suggest, Jane is indeed a working heifer. These two are out of the same baldy bull and unrelated dams of Hereford and Angus origins, however Jane’s leggy frame is evidence of some Holstein as well. They are coming 2 years old this spring, they are small at ~800# each and Jane is open and ready to be bred.

I have twitched logs, picked stones, harrowed, culti-packed and done as many odds and ends that their youth and small size comfortably allow. They do fine around loud equipment, fire works, etc. Children take some getting used to, but after 2 days at our county fair they were bomb proof and 2 kids took them in a beef showmanship class.

This team would be great for a homestead that would like the added benefit of having a cow as part of their working team. I am open to seeing them go together or separate. If interested please contact me at marczake@hotmail.com.

This team has been sold to a fine young farmer to add to their team of Suffolks on their vegetable farm. Thanks everyone for your help and advice with this team, they will be missed.
