February 10, 2013 at 12:31 am #77349AnonymousInactiveSuppose she was born in the snowstorm? congrats
February 10, 2013 at 5:58 am #77353EliParticipantNo snowstorm but it was below zero
February 10, 2013 at 6:37 pm #77347JayParticipantWhen they come through in good shape in the cold or what ever, that is a good thing and bodes well in my experience.
February 10, 2013 at 10:44 pm #77354EliParticipantToday we had the little fart out side running around, less than a week old and full of zip running around like nuts. And not shy around people always smelling and licking every thing and everybody. Now the two year wait to use her however It will be cool to raise a horse from start to finish. Eli
February 10, 2013 at 11:47 pm #77351CanoeTomahParticipantCongratulations on the new one Eli!
You will have a lot of fun working with one from scratch.
In my youth we raised a standard bred colt and one saddle horse filly.
It was really nice just to watch the little ones mess around in the pasture.February 15, 2013 at 11:55 pm #77355EliParticipantMy daughter put mom and baby in the outdoor arena today and boy can that little bugger go even in a foot of snow. I was impressed only 1 1/2 weeks old and run and jump then slide pretty cool. Eli
February 18, 2013 at 4:12 pm #77360Taylor MargisonParticipantWhat a cutie! Congrats Eli! Is she a cross? It looks like she has some spots?
– TayFebruary 19, 2013 at 1:35 am #77356EliParticipantMom is a curly with Suffolk in her blood and dad was a large curly. Curlies come in all shapes and sizes. Our mare came from Joe Mead. Eli

Today we have her great grand son in the barn and he is a wonderful all around 5 YO horse. Good in the woods, field, and show ring. The stories between that young mare and today would take 2 pots of coffee to cover. Good luck and enjoy.
February 21, 2013 at 1:34 am #77359rookieParticipantHow sweet!
February 22, 2013 at 4:25 pm #77350Jay KlaverweidenParticipantEli, our Mr Herman plow day is April 6th this year. So if you make to the east coast, we would be glad to have you. Thanks Jay.
February 26, 2013 at 12:41 am #77357EliParticipantMy daughter had the harness on Tenakee today and tied baby takala to the hame. It all went pretty well but baby horse has a mind of her own. We are having so much fun with this little girl. Eli
