This is a link to a great article about what is going on globally with timber, which of course ends up being frequently sold in America. I was referred to the article By Birky up in Wisconsin of Timbergreen Forestry.

Buy local wood, just like local food….we need to start the slow wood movement to be the fiber version of the slow food movement….

Howdy Jason, If those rail cars are any indication, that is theft on a pretty large scale.
I’ve often wondered how wide spread it was. I saw a similar article several years about Thailand, I think it was.
