Greyrock Farm Teamster Position

Greyrock Farm is a diversified farm in Cazenovia, NY. We raise beef, pork, and chicken and do our own slaughtering and butchering on farm. We have a raw milk dairy, a flock of laying hens, and we manage about 12 acres of vegetable fields. We make hay and work with draft horses. We market our produce through a year-round CSA and a bi-weekly market on the farm.

We are looking for a teamster to perform a variety of jobs around the farm. The teamster will be responsible for vegetable field work, including plowing, bed preparation, cultivation, and harvest. We also perform many of our animal chores with horses, including moving mobile chicken coops, pig shelters and feeders, moving gravity wagons, and clipping pasture. We also cut and rake hay with horses.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working with draft horses, including proficiency trimming. Knowledge of a variety of equipment is a must.

Salary will be based on experience.
