I remember seeing a type of buckle to use on the bottom of the hames instead of a strap. It worked something like a chain binder where you hook both ends and flip a lever to tighten it. does anyone know where I could find such a thing?

I have used hem for years, and find them to be excellent.

I believe just about anybody that sells harness also sells these. There are two styles (that I know about) one for pulling and one for regular farm work. I use the ones for regular farm work and never had a problem pulling a No. 6 mower, rake, plow, cultivator and wagon. This may be a little late but I’m new here.
