Hiya folks, really sorry I haven’t been around for a while, constantly chasing time.
I thought I would swing by and give you an update on how my big guy is progressing with his driving career.
Introduced Clyde to his harness, he loved it. Very very calm and his eyes light up when he see’s the collar coming out.
The hitching cart is finally finished so I let Clyde have a good look around it, hitched him up and yet again off he went, no problems at all.
Next I actually took some brave pills and got “on” the cart, yet again no problems apart from him breaking into the odd trot or two.
We’ve now had a few weeks off (times my enemy) but so far so good.
I’d like to thank Jac again for having faith in me, tutouring me and teaching me to drive his team, it’s wonderful.
Plans are to do some schooling to get our corning and widths right before progressing to real harrowing, towing a small trailer and logging.
Clyde is just so enthusiastic and a pleasure to work with.

Good looking horse, nice work. Nice cart. Never seen one with the third wheel. I assume it is there to spare the horses backs?

Looking good. Those Clydes and Shires are growing on me.
I do like your cart also. Looks like a one horse lighter version of Neil Dimmocks work cart. He like them three wheeled as well. I have a three wheeled feed wagon that Lostfarmer on here built. Great rig. He is also building a three wheeled bale unroller for me, which we plan to have up and running before too long.
    Once again, nice horse.

    Hiya guys and thanks.
Yes the three wheeled cart is to save the horses back and is stabler than the two wheeled.
Jac on here runs the same cart and I’m sure he could give you all the details and techy “stuff” regarding it:)
I’m just a beginner and just do what I’m told lol…not!

    Hiya cowboy.
He was out for over an hour today and hardly a hoof wrong. Obeying every command, gotten over his fear off water and very responsive to both voice and lines. Did a slalom course up the back, he was perfect.
    Pictures and video’s on FB.
You can borrow him anytime, you know that and yes, you can even take him to the Royal Highland.
    Liz
