Hi all, I live in central Mass. We have a 230 yr old family farm on about 400 acres. We make our own hay and have a small herd of Herefords. I also have 4 saddle horses and a Percheron draft mule. I like my horses, but the mule is my favorite. We ride and drive her. We don’t use her for work, but I would like to try twitching a few logs with her. This is a great site with lots of useful info.

    Hi Mule rider
I am in Bellows Falls VT and also have a Percheron molly mule that looks a lot like yours. Today we did some sledding and trail braking with my forecart on skies. Just bought a Belgium mule to team up with Jenny. Glad you are on the site and if you ever come up I-91 in VT we are very close to exit 6 and would love to meet you and talk mules.

I’ve met you Rod…at the mule and donkey show at Waters farm. My name is Dave Bond, my wife and I came over to your trailer to see your mule. I thought she looked like my Ginger, but Ginger is much bigger. I’m actually going to Unity,NH today and going right by your place. I’ll give you a call later and see if you’re around on my way home.

Hello MuleRyder. Like your mule. Big ol’ stout mule like that makes a very good work animal.
I work and ride mules as well. We have 3 draft mules (1 perch, 2 belgians) and 2 saddle mules that both ride and drive pretty well. We also have 6 head of horses but I do like the mules a lot. The only time I prefer the horses is sorting cows. Other than one mule, the horses are better at that job. They (the mules) do really shine when harnessed though, and for riding and packing in the mountains.

Hi Dave, I am new to this site also….I ride a Percheron mule named George. His nickname is “The Couch” as he is such a stable ride for me. We have Clydesdale, Belgian and Friesian/Percheron cross draft mule babies and gaited saddle mule babies….I love them all, but have always loved the drafts:-)
