Hello everyone, I am very excited to have found this website as there seem to be many people here with the same interests as I. Teamsters are far and few where I live, so this is a great gateway to information.

I currently have a team of three year old percheron geldings. I have only ground driven them as I have been at school in Michigan for a good part of the last four years. I will graduate this spring and then I will be at home on our family farm most of the time, and working on ships part of the time.

I am very interested in using work horses to do as much as you can. With the price of fuel, tractors, and parts going up, it makes the advantages of using work horses go up. Also, I just love work horses.

Thanks Jennifer, I am really happy to be a part of this forum and look forward to the wealth of knowledge that is displayed. I can’t wait until next month when I get to go home for christmas break and work with my team Bill and Bob. I have only ground driven them, but I may pull a stone boat or something around in a small pen. Then this summer I plan on using a broke horse from a friend to drive them with seperately. This is what I did with my last team and it seemed to work for me. I will be sure to let you know how the training is going in december. Actually I am sure that I will be asking some questions on here during that time. Andrew
