Hi-Bonjour everybody,
been lurking on this forum for a while before introducing myself, now is the time I guest. Also been lurking on other sites to find one talking about drafts, finaly found this one through Healing Harvest Forest Foundation’s links. Anyways I’m a Phys. Ed. teacher retiring in june, from Bouctouche New-Brunswick and a New-B (get it). Had experience with husbandry a while back(chickens, geese, pigs) certainly not like horses. Had an uncle with a draft he gave me the reins and let me hill his potatoes, so I got some experience with horses there Ha! Been doing some farming with a friend for the pass nine year but all with machinery, let it be plowing, haying , spreading manure, that is were I got my experience doing all kind of chores. Always loved horses, every time we visited a farm either uncle’s or great grand father’s I was in the barn with the horse so I guest that’s where it started.
Sorry talking to much. Now that I’m retiring and have built a half and half garage-barn 24×60 to get ready for a horse and other animals, I’m starting from scatch, have to do some fencing, stalls etc… Thats were the forum comes in for me, by reading everybody’s experiences, info and probably trying to put my little two cents of comments and asking for anybody’s opinion will I hopefully gain some experience from all of you. There are some good horsemen around here to, so I know I can get hands on pointers anytime. Still talking to much sorry. I think the site is great and we have great people taking care of it and great people giving all kinds of information. Ok I’m done.
Have a nice day. We still have about three feet of snow around here so spring isnt here yet.Michel (Mike) Boulay New-B from Bouctouche

You don’t write too much, If you ever feel like you need to, private message me and I’ll show you what too much can be, just ask Robert Moonshadow:D Enjoy the spring air, work safe and feel free to jump in on one of these conversations any time.

Welcome to Springtime at DAP, Michel!!March 18, 2009 at 1:17 pm #50868Michel BoulayParticipantthanks for the welcome, not having a draft yet I can’t reply on your experiences, but having a great time reading them and learning. Have ridden horses in my younger age so have little experience with horse. Not yet quite familiar with post and thread or posting picture but will get the hang of it.
