    Hi!

    i was wondering how this system is called: in a mountain forest (used for timber extraction) a railway is built, and then horses are used to pull the empty logging wagons up the mountain. once they’re loaded, they’re sent down using gravity, with a worker managing the brakes. and then horses are used again to propel the wagons up.

    anyway, i’d like to know more about this system, so if any one has some info on this system, or any use of draft animals in rail operations, i’d appreciate the input!
