It has been 5 years already!

5 years ago in August of 2010 Lisa McCrory gave me a link to try out. It was to register for the 4th Northeast Animal-Power Field Days. To try out the new online registration, I paid for the weekend passes and camping, then at the bottom there was an option to join the Draft Animal Power Network. I didn’t know exactly what the Draft Animal Power Network was, but knowing it was related to Lisa and Carl Russell’s fantastic event, I was game.

During the 2010, it was made clear that the reins of the “network” were being handed over to those of us that wanted to keep and increase the connections that the last 3 years of NEAPFD events and the DAP.com forum had started. I still have the voicemail of David Fisher calling me to announce the first conference call meeting. It has been quite the ride, full of enjoyment and challenges. Becoming involved with such a great group of people and animals has been life changing for me.

Thanks everyone for getting DAPNet this far, and here is too another 5 years and beyond!
