I put my runners on the fore cart for the first time today. It was a great time. The ride is so quiet and not as bumpy as with the wheels on . Kruiser did great too.
Here is a video if anybody wants to watch the snow coming down.

Tell me more about the runners? Will they fit any cart? Where do you get them?
Jennifer.December 21, 2008 at 10:59 pm #48595Crabapple FarmParticipantPioneer makes them, which looks like what Jean has. They just bolt on to the hub instead of the wheels – so they would fit any cart with the same hub/bolt pattern.
I have also seen runners that you just roll the wheels up onto and chain on, but I don’t remember the manufacturer.

I have been working hard on trusting Kruiser to do what I ask him and he has been great. However today I would say the bulk of the work was done by Kruiser, the snow was deep and the fore cart is heavy with the runners on it. I can’t tell you how much fun today was for me. I owe a lot of that to Ted, thanks if you are reading this. We would like to get a snow packer that would have been used behind a Ski Do Alpine packer, to pack a trail for the minis to go out on. My husband would also like to be able to ski on it.
Jen, I bought the runners from Pat Palmer in New Haven.

December 22, 2008 at 2:24 pm #48598PestoPowerParticipantI had no problems. The snow was about a foot off the driveway and a few inches on the driveway. i need to find a sleigh!
