looking for oxen teamsters in new york state

Hi! I’m new here– attended NEAPFD for the first time the other weekend– and am looking for people locally who are using oxen. I’m not, but am interested in learning. I’m currently apprenticing at a farm where we use draft horses, so in this season I’ve gained a little experience driving single horse in the field and woods, but besides a little playing around at NEAPFD, have never driven oxen. If there were someone relatively close to Richford, NY (about 25 min. SE of Ithaca, in Tioga County) or to NYC, where I’ll be moving for the winter at the end of November or so, I would love to find out what you’re doing and, if at all possible, come by and observe, helping out around your place should you need it.
