I am working on a pine lot that has some large diameter, good quality pine overstory pine marked. Some of it is in decline, but much of it is in excellent shape, some clear. These logs are mostly 16′ and 35-40″ in diameter at the small end. We are having trouble finding a market for this wood, as most commercial mills cannot take wood this big. I have called Homegrown in NH, as well as a number of pine flooring companies here in VT. Does anyone out there have any other ideas? I would appreciate any suggestions here. Thanks.
