This is a wagon built on a 1 ton Pioneer gear. I made a friction brake setup with a boat trailer winch for parking and constant friction and a lever for operation in the drivers seat area. The photos of the brake system are self explanatory. The brake pad is a sandwich of wood around and bolted through and a section cut from a rubber cow mat. The small wheels are to support the end of the sliding 2×6 beam and to prevent chatter. It’s hard to tell how effective the brakes will be until I get the pads worn in.
